Open-Cell Spray Foam VS. Closed-Cell Spray Foam
699 KB

Open-cell Spray Foam (ocSPF) insulation is a great economic choice in insulation; it is a low-density (0.5lbs/ft) nonstructural insulation that offers excellent thermal and acoustical performance and high yields per drum set. When properly installed it expands 120 times its initial volume, sealing all voids, gaps and crevices, which makes it perfect for filling wall cavities of any shape and/or size.

Closed-cell Spray Foam (ccSPF) is among the most efficient insulating materials available; it is medium-density (1.8 to 2.6 lbs/ft), strengthens the structures it is applied to and provides nearly twice the R-value of open-cell foam per inch. When properly installed it acts as an air and vapor barrier, increasing the comfort and life of buildings.
